I am grateful for laundry baskets and all the creative uses for them. Today Ethan decided it was a great place to put his guys. I also taught him how it can make a great jail (or a hat, depending). Oh, and of course, it can be a train, a car, etc, too when pushed around. And you can put laundry it it, too. Although that's one of the few times Ethan would rather take things out of a container than put them in. And my brother and I were kids, we MAY have taken them down the stairs a few to times.
I am grateful to have to "privilege" of a lawn to mow and take care, even when it frustrates me. I was the one who wanted more of a yard. Katie couldn't have cared less. But I feel pretty good about how it looks. It's taken a lot of years, and more than a little coaxing to get it where it is now.
I am grateful for a son that simply goes to bed when we put him to bed. This picture was just before; getting his last water cup before bed.
Today I am grateful for the simple joy of a cardboard box. This picture was from yesterday, but I was reminded of it when Katie had to call me to ask where Ethan’s shoes were; they were the first thing he put in this box.
